Reddit lead alerts in Slack and email, plus a daily digest

LeadReddit sends you a Reddit alert as soon as a new Hot or Warm lead is found, and it delivers to two places today: email and Slack. Each alert carries the post's 0–100 intent score, the buying-intent category, a short AI analysis, and a drafted reply — not just a keyword ping. You can also get a once-a-day digest instead of, or on top of, per-lead alerts.

Being honest about scope: the two channels that exist are email and a Slack incoming webhook. There is no generic ‘post to any URL’ webhook, Zapier, Discord, or Teams channel yet, so if you need one of those, it isn't here. What is here is tunable per channel — score threshold, which projects it watches, instant vs digest — and you set it all up in your dashboard once you sign in.

How do Reddit lead alerts reach you — email or Slack?

Two ways today: email and Slack. You add one or more channels, and each new qualifying lead is pushed to every active channel. Slack delivery uses a Slack incoming webhook URL (the kind that starts with hooks.slack.com), which is the only webhook type LeadReddit will post to — an arbitrary URL is rejected on purpose, so the tool can't be pointed at some internal endpoint by mistake.

There is no generic webhook, Zapier, Discord, or Microsoft Teams integration at the moment, and we'd rather say so than imply a longer list. Can you set the score threshold that triggers an alert?

Yes — each channel has its own minimum score, so you decide how loud it is. LeadReddit scores every post 0–100 and bands it Hot (80+), Warm (60–79), Potential (40–59), or Low (under 40). Set a channel's threshold to 80 and only Hot leads ping you; set it to 60 and you also catch the Warm band, which is where a lot of the real, workable conversations live.

Channels you add default to a 40 threshold (Potential and up), and you can raise it to cut noise. You can also point a channel at specific projects instead of all of them, so a client-specific Slack channel only hears about that client's subreddits. Per-lead alerts are on by default and can be switched off on any channel.

What's inside an alert beyond a keyword match?

Every alert carries the score, the intent category, an AI summary, and a drafted reply — so you can triage from your inbox or Slack without opening the app. A keyword-alert tool tells you a word appeared; a LeadReddit alert tells you the post scored 82, reads as a solicited recommendation request, summarizes why it's a fit, and hands you a first-draft reply written through your voice profile.

The email version shows a colored score tier badge that matches the dashboard, the subreddit, the post title, the analysis, the suggested reply, and two buttons — draft a reply, or open the thread on Reddit. How is the daily digest different from instant alerts?

The digest is a single once-a-day email or Slack message summarizing the day's qualified leads, and it reads its own score threshold — separate from the one on your instant alerts. That separation is the point: you can set instant alerts high to keep the real-time ping rare, and still let the digest run at a different threshold so the Warm 60–79 band — where many of the best openings sit — shows up once a day. Because the two thresholds are independent columns, neither is automatically wider than the other; you tune real-time loudness and daily coverage separately.

The digest also dedupes crossposts (one thread posted to three subs shows once), skips anything already sent as an instant alert so nothing arrives twice, and orders leads by how worth-it they are to reply to — a freshness-weighted rank, not raw score — because a Reddit thread earns its votes and replies in its first hours, and a 15-day-old post that scored 90 is usually not worth chasing. It's the same ordering the dashboard uses, so the email and the app agree.

Does an alert mean LeadReddit posts the reply for you?

No. An alert hands you a drafted reply; you copy it and post it yourself from your own account. LeadReddit never logs into Reddit, never asks for OAuth, and has no write access — it reads only public data and drafts. The alert is a starting point, not an auto-poster, so nothing goes out under your name without you pressing post.

That's a deliberate boundary, and an honest one: because the tool can't post, it can't get your account into trouble by posting — but no tool can make you unbannable either, since a moderator can always remove a comment or ban you from their subreddit. How do you set up Slack and email alerts?

Sign in, open your alert settings, and add a channel: an email address, or a Slack incoming webhook URL you generate in Slack. Then set that channel's minimum score, choose whether it watches all projects or specific ones, and toggle instant alerts and the daily digest independently. You can run several channels at once — say, a high-threshold Slack ping for Hot leads and a broader email digest.
