Reddit shadowban checker — currently suspended
This tool is off, and we would rather say so than show you a result we cannot stand behind.
It relied on reading a Reddit account's public profile directly from your browser. Reddit closed that access in July 2026, and the fallback we had is blocked too. Karma, account age and the shadowban signal are simply not reachable for us right now, so the honest answer is that the tool cannot do what its name promises.
What still works today
Two of our free tools need nothing from Reddit's API and are unaffected: the AutoMod simulator, which shows the patterns that get comments auto-removed, and the Reddit markdown editor. For checking a shadowban yourself in the meantime: open the profile at reddit.com/user/<name> in a logged-out private window — if it 404s there but works while you are logged in, that is the classic signal.

What is a Reddit shadowban?
A shadowban is a site-wide, account-level action taken by Reddit admins (not subreddit moderators). The account can still post and comment, but that content is invisible to everyone else, and the public profile page returns a 404. It is mostly used against spam accounts.
How do I know if I'm shadowbanned?
Log out (or open a private window) and visit reddit.com/user/yourname. If your profile returns a 404 but you can still log in normally, you are almost certainly shadowbanned. This tool automates that public check.
What's the difference between a shadowban and my comments being removed in one subreddit?
A shadowban is site-wide and admin-issued: everything you post everywhere is invisible. Removed comments in a single subreddit are a moderator or AutoModerator action in that community only — often triggered by low karma, a new account, or a rule violation. The fixes are different, so it matters which one you have.
How do I get un-shadowbanned?
Appeal to Reddit admins via reddit.com/appeals. If the ban came from spammy behavior (repetitive links, aggressive self-promotion), stop that behavior first — appeals from accounts that keep spamming are denied.
